OS: Windows
1) Locate the Prt Scr SysRQ button on your keyboard. It should be together with Scroll Lock and Pause Break, and next to F12. If it isn't there for you, then zoom your eye around your keyboard until you can find it.
2) Go to wherever you want to take a screenshot of and press the Prt Scr SysRQ button. An image of the forum list will be the used example.
3) Ctrl+V (paste) the new image into an image editing program, such as Paint. This is what it will look like when you've copied it in:
As you can see, there's a lot of unnecessary space around the part we want. So click the Select tool:
Then crop the part we want.
Looking much better huh?
4) Now you need to save your image. PNG is the recommended format, though JPG and GIF work well, too. Do be aware however, JPG can make your image look fuzzy.
5) Now you need to upload your image onto an image hosting site. Tinypic is a good one-- it is the simplest to use and no registration required
How to use Tinypic
1) Go to Tinypic.com.
2) Click on Browse... and select your file.
3) Click on Upload Now.
4) Insert the captcha as written.
5) Use the forum image code.
Wasn't that easy? =)
6) There you go! You now know how to take a screenshot!
Hope this helps =D
